LED Vs T5

Hey 🙂    I am very happy because today is arrived the GNC PRO for a new projec!!!!!!!  In choosing this one, I took some time to evaluate the pros and cons. Also re-reading my old notes I founded a comparison between LEDs and my first love T5s that I want to share with you:
 

1. Spectrum: LED lights offer a wider range of spectrum options compared to T5 lights. This means you can more easily customize the light spectrum to suit the needs of your corals.
2. Energy Efficiency: LEDs are more energy-efficient than T5 lights, which means they can save you money on your electricity bill in the long run.
3. Heat Output: T5s generate more heat than LEDs, which can make it more difficult to maintain a stable temperature in your tank.
4. Lifespan: LED lights have a much longer lifespan than T5s, which means you won’t need to replace them as often.
5. Intensity: LEDs are generally more intense than T5s, which means you may be able to use fewer lights to achieve the same results.
6. Cost: LED lights are generally more expensive than T5s, but their longer lifespan and energy efficiency can make them a better investment in the long run.
7. Customization: LED lights offer more customization options than T5s, including the ability to adjust the spectrum, intensity, and timing of the lights.
8. Coverage: T5 lights offer broader coverage compared to LEDs, which means they may be better suited for larger tanks.
9. Maintenance: LED lights require less maintenance than T5s, since you won’t need to replace bulbs as often.
10. Compatibility: T5s can be used with dimming and ramping controllers, while not all LED lights are compatible with these features
